The Taleju temple at the Durbar Square of Kathmandu that was constructed by king Mahendra Malla in 1564 is devoted to the Taleju godess who was the protector of the Malla Dynasty.

The Ram and Sita Bibaha Mandhir close to the famous Janaki Mandir is the place where Ram and Sita got married. Two huge idols of Ram and Sita can be seen in this temple

The Changu Narayan Temple is the oldest temple construction in the Kathmandu Valley. The pagoda style temple which is an UNESCO world heritage site is beautifully located on top of a hill four kilomters north of Bhaktapur.

The Changu Narayan Temple is located on the end a hill top ridge with a good view over the valley. In the older days a fort was located on the same ridge.
