The Baraha Chhetra (Kshetra) Temple lies in the east of Nepal around 20 km from Dharan at the confluence of the Sapta Koshi and Koka rivers and is one of the most holy tirtha's of Nepal.

On Dolagiri mountain lived the ascetic Sudarshana though a religous man he had a bit of a short temper. Though Sudarshana didn't have much posesions he was the proud owner of a brown cow.  The cow always gave enough milk. But one day while the cow was grazing suddenly a man came out of a treetrunk and start drinking the cows milk. He drunk all milk straight from the cows utters and when he was finished the man dissapeared in the tree again.

Siddhashrama ?
Siddhashrama is mentioned in several ancient texts. For example in the story about Shiva and Parvati living in the Shlesmantaka forrest, which lies in the Kathmandu Valley of Nepal. But it is also mentioned several times in Valmiki Ramayana and text about Sai Baba tell us that Siddhashrama is within every person is a spiritual concept.

Festival - Maghe (Makara) Sankranti - Bathing Holy rivers

The Maghe Sankranti festival is held at the first day of the holy month of Magh (arround the mid of January (12-14)). Maghe Sankranti celebrates that the warmer days are coming.  The festival is also seen as a new year that is coming.  

Maghe Sankranti is one of the three occasions in a year that hindu's should bath in holy rivers. The bathing is done in the early morning mostly at thirtha's where two holy rivers colide like for example the Barah Chhetra temple.
