Sita wife of Ram

Sita is the wife of Ram who is the main character in the Ramayana and the 7th incarnation of Vishnu. Sita is the reincarnation of the Goddess Lakshmi.

Ram

Ram is the 7th incarnation of Vishnu. Ram was a king of Ayodhya in Uttar Pradesh India and the main figuere in maybe the most famous hindu epic the Ramayana in which he is the husband of Sita. Ram should have lived around 1450 BC.

Janakpur birthplace of Sita from Ramayana

Janakpur also called Janakpurdham lies close to the border of Nepal and India (Bihar) at some 135 km distance from Kathmandu. Janakpur is the center of the Maithili culture and the birthplace of Sita (Vaidehi, Janaki), the daughter of king Janak and husband of Ram in the famous Ramayana story. Ram and Sita also got married in Janakpur.

The Ram and Sita Bibaha Mandhir close to the famous Janaki Mandir is the place where Ram and Sita got married. Two huge idols of Ram and Sita can be seen in this temple

Janaki Mandir

The Janaki Mandir is a beautiful almost temple in honour of Sita in Janakpur. The temple looks like a magnificient palace and is built by an Indian Queen in 1910.

Acording to some this was the place where Sita lived.
